Please Don't Stop The Music ! The Oldies Project is the best thing that's ever happened to internet radio. Correction - it's the best thing that's ever happened to radio !

The wonderfully wide playlist is such a refreshing change from all the boring oldies stations that endlessly recycle their stupidly tiny list of Greatest Hits and clutter their output with irritating waffle.

Nostalgia is fine, but I particularly value all the 'new oldies', e.g. the follow-ups to the one-hit wonders, the originals that were eclipsed by more successful cover versions, and all those great records that just didn't chart because of lack of airplay or whatever.

The Oldies Project really is unique. Once again 'Thank You For The Music', and I really do hope that it will continue long beyond 2013.

Best wishes of all you guys ('n' dolls?!) contributing to oldies project.
I'm a female record collector from germany and I totally agree with
all the other commentators here that if there's a chance to do so,
please keep up your excellent work in 2013 and - hopefully -
after!

Thank you so much for all the effort that is put in this project. I listen already eight years -from the beginning - with a lot of fun. It's a fantastic stream. Let 2013 not be the last year!

I was sad to hear that 2013 will be "the final year of our project." I've been listening to all your programs from the very beginning and would be very distraught at having to do without them. However, if you are looking for ideas for future shows, my suggestion would be to have a Top 40 with both A and B sides of each single played. That would really make your show unique in the world of pop music because those great obscure 45's from the 60's are very hard to find. Thank you for everything you've done so far and good luck for the future.

I can only echo what the other listeners have said: it will be a sad day when there is no new (old) music coming from the old OP. All your featured shows -- 45s From 45 Years Ago, A Month In A Life, and The London Sound -- have brought me more great songs that I'd never heard anywhere else than I can hope to count. I will be listening in the coming year faithfully, and hoping that perhaps those great obscure 45s from the 60's will pop up somewhere else (under a new name, perhaps) in 2014.
        Thank you for everything.

Thank you all so much for your efforts to bring this music to us. It has been a tremendous gift and you can't imagine how much I appreciate it. I live on the west coast in the states and I gladly set my alarm for 3am every Sunday (I work on Wed) to listen to the shows. That's saying a lot and has been in every way worth the loss of sleep. As an appreciator of chronology and perspective and a true fan of the era, this has literally been a dream come true for me. All those great, obscure records (thanks Kees!) that I never ever would have heard otherwise... sigh... Hats off to you all. Cheers!
